Ave Maria, Fla— The USCB women's soccer team are back to .500 in conference play with the win this afternoon at Ave Maria, 2-1.

It was a wild first three minutes. Ave Maria struck first, 90 seconds into the match, off the head of Laura Spence from a corner kick by Meghan Precord, but it was only 49 seconds later that Anna Gignilliat knotted the score at one apiece (assist to Allison Schaffer).

The Sand Sharks nine shots, six on goal, in the first half that proved to be a back-and-forth affair with the Gyrenes.

The early scoring resumed in the second half when Baylie White put away her second goal of the season off a cross from Melissa Fichtner in the 49^th minute.

The Sand Sharks posted 13 shots in total (9 on goal) in the match. In the frame, Logan Leask picked up her sixth win of the season, stopping 4 shots on 5 attempts.
