Thomasville, Ga.—The USCB women' soccer team played their way into The Sun Conference semifinals for the second time in program history, with a 1-0 overtime victory over Thomas University this afternoon.
The match opened with both teams playing wide open, exchanging chances, but neither side was able to capitalize in the first half of play.
The second half was all Thomas, as the Nighthawks posted 9 shots to none for the Sand Sharks.
Logan Leask and the back line held firm, though, and forced the match into overtime for the fifth time this season.

Melissa Fichtner flicked the ball onto the foot of
Kaylee Kumar, who made no mistake in putting USCB through to the TSC semifinals for the second time in program history.
