Columbia, SC-- The USCB baseball team used a late game comeback to bounce back into the win column on the road at Benedict College, winning 11-10.
The Sand Sharks took advantage of some Tigers' miscues, finding three runs in the first inning.
Cole Hamilton got things going with a leadoff single through the left side before
Tristan Triplett laid down a sacrifice bunt to advance him to second.
Alex Murphy followed with an intentional walk.
Chris Vazquez then found first on a throwing error that scored Hamilton. Vaquez then stole second and
Ryan McManus reached on a fielding error by the second baseman. Murphy was able to score on the play. Vazquez then found his way home in a ground-out to short stop.
The bats then went silent for the Sand Sharks until the fourth inning when
Fremy Rosso was able to score on a wild pitch. Down 4-9 going into the top of the sixth, the USCBÂ offense went to work. The team found three runs in the sixth inning where three batters scored a second time, Rosso, Hamilton and Vazquez.
The Sand Sharks added a run in the seventh, two more in the eighth and what would prove to be the winning run in the top of the ninth.

Zac Burke came into the game in relief and threw 7.2 innings, giving up six hits, two runs, and striking out 11.
