Mt. Vernon, GA– USCB baseball did it all on Tuesday, pitching and hitting their way to a doubleheader sweep over the Brewton Parker Barons by scores of 14-3 and 15-2. In game 1,
Ryan Pedersen pitched a complete game for the Sand Sharks, allowing just 3 runs while striking out 6, and
Bobby Wenthe hit his 6th homer of the year and added 4 RBIs. In game 2, it was
Ryan Reynolds' turn to shine on the mound as he threw his own complete game, backed by 3 homers from USCB, including
Bobby Wenthe's 7th,
Bragg Eastin's 2
nd, a
GrandSlam, and
Cole Hamilton's 1st. The Sand Shark's offense exploded for 29 hits – including 4 homers and 6 doubles – and 29 runs over both games.
