Box Score 2 Ave Maria, FL– Fresh off their #13 national ranking, USCB softball split Thursday's TSC doubleheader against the Ave Maria Gyrenes, losing a closely-contested 1st game 7-6, but coming back strong to win the 2nd game 5-0. In game 1, the Sand Sharks battled back from a 5-1 deficit, but the Gyrenes snuck past USCB in the bottom of the 7th.
Abby Pac started game 1 for the Sand Sharks, lasting 3 innings.
Kinsey Sords,
Maria Molloseau, and
Sloan Ducey all pitched in relief, with Ducey taking the tough loss. But Ducey would avenge game 1's loss by pitching a 1-hit, complete game shutout in game 2 to lead the Sand Sharks to a 5-0 victory.
