The University of South Carolina Beaufort Softball Team is honored to host Cancer Awareness Day on Saturday, March 23, as they play The Sun Conference rivals, the Thomas University Night Hawks, in a doubleheader at 2pm at Sand Shark Park in Hardeeville, SC.
USCB softball will be collecting donations to benefit the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, who strives to provide quality of life, sustainability and dignity to those they serve. Their mission is "to deliver unwavering support for patients and families fighting pancreatic cancer." Through generous donations, they provide an opportunity of hope and caring for those afflicted with this deadly disease.
In recognition and in honor of Pancreatic Awareness Day, and in tribute to those teammates' whose families have been personally affected by cancer, USCB softball will wear their purple uniform tops for both games. They invite all fans who have been affected by cancer to wear purple as well.
There will also be an opportunity for all in attendance who have lost a loved one to cancer to place a paper ribbon along the walkway in tribute.
We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday at Sand Shark Park for Cancer Awareness Day.
