Box Score 2 Mt. Vernon, GA – USCB softball continued their remarkable season on Wednesday in Mt. Vernon, GA, sweeping their doubleheader against the Barons of Brewton-Parker College, and running their amazing winning streak to 18 to start 2019.
- In game 1, Shania Domingue connected for her 1st home run of the year in the top of the 1st, a 3-run blast that set the tone for the rest of the game for the Sand Sharks as they won 8-5. Canyon Crosby pitched 5 1/3 strong innings for USCB, earning her 4th win of the year. Kinsey Sords pitched the final 1 2/3 innings, notching the save.
- Maria Molloseau started game 2, and pitched 6 effective innings for the Sand Sharks, striking out 6 and picking up her 4th win of the year as USCB defeated the Barons 12-6. Kaleigh Furbush led the offense for the Sand Sharks, hitting a 2-run single to cap a 5-run 4th inning.
Sand Shark softball begins Sun Conference (TSC) play with a doubleheader on Saturday against Thomas in Thomasville, GA. After a doubleheader on Saturday against Georgia Gwinnet in Lawrenceville, GA, USCB returns to TSC action on Thursday, March 14 with a doubleheader against Ave Maria in Ave Maria, FL. They then travel to Miami Gardens, FL for a TSC doubleheader against St. Thomas on Saturday, the 16
