Edward Waters tried to start a rally of its own in the third but left a pair of Tigers on base after back-to-back singles.

The Tigers scored a run on a bases-loaded hit by pitch, and Cayden Frankie connected with a two-RBI single to make the deficit 4-3. However, that was as close as Edward Waters would get, as the final two outs came via a pop out to first and a caught stealing.
