USCB has started the 2019 season red hot, as it is 2-0 with victories over South Carolina State and Erskine. Between the two contests, the Sand Sharks have scored 10 goals and have pitched two shutouts.

Senior forward Anna Gignilliat has been a force on the pitch, as she has netted half of the team's goals this year - five. She even scored four of those goals against Erskine, which broke USCB's single-game school record for goals scored and points (eight).

USCB has also seen five different goal scorers this year. There have has been seven different Sand Sharks that have recorded an assist so far this season - Gignilliat, Mina Ljosland, Eva Hormazabal, Julia Gherardi, Isabella Ahlen Jakobs, Brooke Newman and Sydnee Metzold

The defense has been rock solid this year too by only allowing five total shot attempts. Consisting of Kaylee Kumar, Dina Stalnacke, Mari Kalvatn and Allison Schaffer on the backline and Logan Leask in goal, USCB has pitched two straight shutouts.
