BABSON PARK, Fla. - Playing with just 10 players, the USCB women's soccer team fell, 1-0, on the road to Webber International on Monday afternoon at Warrior Grass Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Sand Sharks had several chances to open the scoring in the first half. Foshee ripped a shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the attempt was ultimately saved.
Just six minutes later, Kalvatn connected with a shot on goal from distance. Her attempt headed towards the left side of the net, but the WIU goalkeeper made a diving save to keep the game level, 0-0.
At the 25-minute mark, USCB again had a chance to break the scoreless tie when a handball was called against a Warrior inside their 18-yard box. Allison Schaffer took the penalty kick for USCB, but the Warrior goalkeeper made another diving save to her right to keep the game scoreless.
At the halftime break, USCB held the advantage in shots, 8-3, and a 3-0 lead in corner kicks.
Just three minutes following the halftime break, Kalvatn connected with a header inside the box, but the attempt went wide of the net.
In the 49th minute, the momentum changed drastically when a Sand Shark was shown a red card.
WIU took advantage six minutes later when Sophia Kenny broke the scoreless tie. Da'Carrah Odom threw the ball in from the touch line to Kenny. After a touch, Kenny put a shot past the USCB keeper to take the 1-0 lead.
Playing with just 10 players, USCB's offense didn't see a strong chance at goal for the final 35 minutes of regulation. Downey and Marcela Shartouny combined for three shots, but none of the attempts were on frame, as the Sand Sharks fell, 1-0, to WIU.
Despite not finding the back of the net in the game, USCB outshot the Warriors by seven, 13-6, including a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal.
