How It Happened

The Fire opened the game quickly, as they posted the game's first goal in the ninth minute. Aisha Solorzano tallied her first goal of the season, while reigning Sun Conference Attacking Player of the Week Naira Lopez earned the assist.

For the next 27 minutes, USCB fended off several scoring opportunities for the Fire, as SEU earned two corners and posted five shots (two on goal) during that stretch.

In the 36th minute, Soloranzo doubled her goals scored total when she tallied a goal in the 36th minute. The goal extended the Fire lead to two.

The Sand Sharks had a quality chance in the opening two minutes of the second half when Shartouny ripped a shot on frame. However, the shot was saved by the Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week Holly Eddins.

USCB continued to fend off shot after shot, but SEU eventually recorded its third and final goal of the game in the 72nd minute. Lopez earned the goal, which was her sixth of the 2020 campaign.

In the final 18 minutes of the game, USCB couldn't muster a goal, as it fell to nationally-ranked Southeastern, 3-0.
