Softball Round Robin Tournament Canceled

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. - Due to unplayable field conditions and predicted weather for the weekend in the Lowcountry, USCB softball decided to cancel its round robin tournament, which was supposed to be a two-day outing from Feb. 12-13 at Richard Gray Stadium.

The tournament will not be made up. However, USCB is in talks with Point and Rio Grande to make up these games at some point during the 2021 season.

USCB will host another busy weekend next week, as it hosst two powerhouse schools - Middle Georgia State and Truett McConnell. TMU was ranked ninth in the NAIA Softball Coaches' Preseason poll, while USCB and MGA split in last year's head-to-head meetings. The head-to-head matchup versus the Knights on Feb. 19 is set to begin at 1 p.m., while the doubleheader versus nationally-ranked Bears is scheduled for Feb. 20 at noon.

All four games at Richard Gray Stadium will be streamed on the Sand Sharks Gameday Network.
