JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Collecting its fourth win in the last five games and scoring the most goals in a single game since 2012, the USCB women's soccer team pummeled Edward Waters, 11-1, on Tuesday afternoon, as eight different Sand Sharks saw their name appear on the scoresheet at EWC Soccer Field.
The 11-goal game was the most since Sept. 17, 2012 when USCB demolished Florida Christian College, 14-1, at Fin Land Field. In that 13-goal win, 12 different Sand Sharks scored.

How It Happened
The Sand Sharks dominated from the get-go, as they connected with nine shots in the first 29 minutes.
Eventually USCB rippled the net on the net three shots, as a goal was scored in the 29th, 30th and 31st minutes. Matusik netted the opening goal, while Kalvatn and Brodersen followed with goals of their own. Kalvatn was credited with the assist on Brodersen's goal while, and Brodersen's goal was her first career goal.
The final 14 minutes teetered back-and-forth, but the Sand Shark offense added one more goal when Downey tallied her only goal of the game in the 43rd minute.
At the half, USCB was dominating possession, as it outshot the Tigers, 16-1, in the first 45-minute session.
The second half was stellar for USCB's offense, as it erupted for seven goals in the half. Brodersen collected her second goal of the game just a few seconds into the half to advance the lead to 5-0.
The Sand Sharks couldn't keep a clean sheet, though, as in the 49th minute EWC scored its first and only goal of the game.
However, USCB ran away from the Tigers 57th minute-on, as it added on six more insurance goals. The goals were tallied by Kalavtn, Matusik, Jakobs, Shartouny, Recser and Wood.Â
Similar to the first half, USCB dominated the second half, as it ripped 17 shots (12 shots on goal).
