HOW IT HAPPENED

USCB tried to start the scoring early in the first inning, as it collected a hit (Sellers' single) and an error. However, both Sand Sharks were left stranded on first and third.

Both the second and third innings were similar for the Sand Sharks, as both innings USCB left two runners on base.

In the bottom of the third, MGA scored the games' first runs with a six-run third inning.

USCB added one run off a sacrifice fly from Marino Sorbara. Brock Thibodeaux scored on the sac fly to make the game 6-1.

Unfortunately, Middle Georgia State added six more runs in the bottom of the fourth to make the game 12-1.

The Sand Shark offense added one more run in the top of the fifth when Russ cranked a solo home run off an 0-1 count. The solo blast made the game 12-2.

MGA put the game out of hand in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run inning to make the game 14-2.

The Sand Sharks had runners on base every inning but left 11 runners on base in the 12-run loss.
