How It Happened
Just like Thursday's contest versus Allen, USCB started the scoring early - in fact quicker than the aforementioned contest. In Saturday's bout, Madeline Matusik tallied the game-opening goal just 50 seconds from the opening touch.
From there, the Sand Sharks didn't look back, as they totaled eight goals off 30 shots in the first 45-minute session.Â
USCB added on five more goals in the second half to put away the contest, 13-0.
The USCB defense was stout on Saturday, as it just allowed just two shots (none on goal). The shutout is USCB's fourth of the year and second straight shutout.
In the homestand so far (two games in and two remaining), USCB has outshot the opposition 101-2, including a 42-goal differential in 180 minutes of action.
