BLUFFTON, S.C. - The Sand Sharks' final homestand of the year did not start off the way it would've liked, as the USCB women's soccer team slipped to No. 20 Flagler, 2-0, at Fin Land Field Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened
Flagler came out aggressive in the opening period taking eight shots against Worrell and the USCB defense in the first 21 minutes. The Saints broke through in the 27 minute when Josefine Nilsen scored from just outside the 18 yard box.
The Sand Sharks came out of halftime with a fast-paced attack, as Kalvatn just missed with a header in the 53rd minute. Just two minutes later, Flagler found the back of the net again after Elke Fernandez chipped one in from the corner of the box.
Worrell matched a season high in saves with 10 in the loss.

USCB continues its homestand on Saturday as it hosts Lander University. The Sand Sharks will honor the late Alexa Muffley Holt in a halftime ceremony with the Muffley Holt family in attendance. The Sand Sharks will also acknowledge their seven graduating seniors prior to the start of the match. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m.
