How it Happened

The former NAIA foes renewed their rivalry on the pitch, and the two squads battled through a scoreless first half.

The Grizzlies kept the pressure on USCB's defense in the match by outshooting the Sand Sharks by nine, 12-3.

Georgia Gwinnett's Kyara Armenta placed a perfect shot in the upper left corner to give the Grizzlies a 1-0 lead in the 78th minute.

With just under two minutes left, Kalvatn had a late chance to knot the game, but she barely mishit the attempt, which was saved by the GGC keeper.

The Grizzlies fended off the final 90 seconds to see out the narrow 1-0 win.
