MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - After dropping its first contest of the season last week to Georgia College and State University, USCB women's soccer started another win streak Monday night defeating NAIA foe, Brewton-Parker, 2-0, in Mount Vernon.

How it Happened
The Sand Sharks' offense came out strong from the opening kickoff, taking two shots on goal within the first nine minutes of play. Two minutes later, USCB had a prime scoring opportunity as Kalvatn was fouled inside the box, earning the Sand Sharks a penalty kick. Kalvatn took the PK but missed wide.
Page put USCB on the board in the 52nd minute after receiving a pass from Bye-Andersen.Â
Just seven minutes later, Kalvatn blasted a 25-yard shot that found the back of the net putting the Sand Sharks up, 2-0.
The defense was stellar once again, only allowing BPC seven shots - four of which were on goal. Worrell recorded four saves along with notching her fifth clean sheet of the season.Â
