Beltestad, Hesby's multigoal performance leads USCB over Allen

BLUFFTON -- USCB continued its dominance at Fin Land Field in 2023, moving to 7-0 after an 8-2 rout of visiting Allen Saturday afternoon. 

Jenny Hesby led the way for the Sand Sharks, collecting a hat trick, Kristin Beltestad put together a multigoal performance while Bella Esteves and Ellie Fielding scored their first goals of the season. 

USCB's offense was clicking on cylinders to start the match. Esteves received a pass from 25 yards out and took it right to the goal for her first of the year. Hesby followed with her third of the year just 53 seconds later to make it 2-0. The Sandefjord, Norway native netted her second goal seven minutes later, giving her two multi-goal games this season. It remained scoreless until the Yellowjackets made it 4-0, scoring an own goal. 

The Sand Sharks continued to keep the pressure up during the second half as Fielding made it 5-0 with a shot from 35-yards out. Beltestad got in on the action, perfectly timing a cross from Esteves to make it 6-0. Fielding and Hesby then connected with Beltestad three minutes later, matching Beaufort's highest goal total of the year. But it was Hesby who capped a phenomenal day with a leaping one-timer to complete the hat trick. 

Peach Belt play resumes on Wednesday as the Sand Sharks travel to St. Augustine for a 4 p.m. contest with Flagler.
