BLUFFTON, S.C. - After a historic week for the freshman outfielder, Hunter Miller was recognized for his work on the field by the Continental Athletic Conference as the league's Hitter of the Week.
In the two-game week, Miller earned the start in both contests - Middle Georgia State and Francis Marion. He kicked off the week with a 2-for-4 performance, as both of his hits went over the fence. With his two homers, he also tallied three RBIs, two runs and a walk versus the Knights. To cap off the week, he poured in a three-hit game versus the Patriots to go along with one RBI and two runs. On the week, Miller went 5-for-8, four RBIs, four runs, two homers, two walks.Â
After six games in the year, the rookie was hitting .412 with seven hits in 17 at-bats. He had a team-best six RBIs to go along with four runs scored.Â
Miller and the Sand Sharks will conclude play at the Pepsi Invitational today with two games - Catawba and Francis Marion.Â
