Women's golf looks to rebound on final day in Toccoa

TOCCOA -- USCB's women's golf team will look to right the ship on the final day of the Ralph Hayes Toyota D2 Elite Invitational after shooting 55-over, 631 after two rounds at the Currahee Golf Course Monday.

ROUND ONE

McLain Neal shot 4-over during the first round beginning her round with three straight pars. She remained at even par through 12 holes before bogies on numbers 9 and 12 before a double bogey on 13. Jessica Edwards shot 10-over and Jennifer Larsson 11-over. Camila Giordani and Florence Phan rounded out USCB's quintet with scores of 84 and 89.

ROUND TWO

Edward righted the ship in round two, shooting a team-best 1-over 73. The senior out of Spartanburg shot 1-under on the front nine, but three bogies on 10, 11, and 13 moved her to 3-over. She would end her round with consecutive biridies. Phan jumped nine spots on the leader board thanks to her 3-over second round. The Missouri Western State transfer was even par on the front nine and 3-over on the back. Neal matched her first round score, shooting a 4-over 76 in round two and Giordani was 10-over. Larsson carded a 12-over second round score.

The Sand Sharks will tee off at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning on holes 15-18.
