Neal finishes even-par at LeeAnn Noble, Sand Sharks place 13th

DAHLONEGA -- Powered behind two strong performances in rounds two and three, McLain Neal finished this year's LeeAnn Noble Memorial even-par, finishing tied for 16th, leading the USCB Women's Golf team to 13th place finish with a score of 907.

Neal finished round one at 2-over but shined in rounds two and three. After a bogey on the par-4 second, the junior out of Olathe, Kansas shot 3-under over the next 16 holes. She continued that strong play in Tuesday's final round. With bogies on holes four and eight, she made that turn and rattled off four straight pars before carding consecutive birdies on back-to-back par fives.

Jennifer Larsson posted four birdies en route to shooting a 72 in round one but struggled in round two shooting 8-over. The Tyreso, Sweden native made up four shots in the final round shooting 4-over, finishing 12-over for the tournament.

Jessica Edwards and Camila Giordani finished 17 and 18-over respectfully and Tatiana Ruesta shot 29-over in her first action of the year.

The Sand Sharks have the next two weeks off before traveling to Toccoa, Georgia to compete in the D2 Currahee Elite Invitational to complete its fall portion of its season.
