Sand Sharks drop conference opener to GSW

HARDEEVILLE -- USCB baseball dropped its confernece opener to Georgia Southwestern 25-1 Saturday afternoon after four big innings propelled the Canes to the victory. 

The game was scoreless through the first two innings, but GSW broke through for five in the third. The Hurricanes would add seven the next inning before Hunter Miller put the Sand Sharks on the board with an RBI single. Georgia Southwestern put together another two big innings in the sixth and seventh to extend the lead. 

The series wraps up with a doubleheader tomorrow with a scheduled 1 p.m. first pitch.
