Edwards, Neal finish T40, USCB in 14th at City with Spirit Fall Classic

CHATTANOOGA -- The one-two punch of Jessica Edwards and McLain Neal finished T40 at the City with Spirit Fall Classic, and the Sand Sharks carded a 970 total score Tuesday afternoon at the Chattanooga Country Club.

Neal began Tuesday's final round in T14 at 6-over following a strong second round that saw her pickup four birdies during the round. The junior struggled on in round three shooting 15-over par to drop to 40th.

Edwards put together a solid first two rounds, sitting at 12-over after 36 holes. The Spartanburg native finished the final round shooting an 81 and went into the clubhouse with a 21-over score for the tournament.

After beginning her collegiate career with scores of 84 and 81 Camila Giordani carded a team-best 77 in the final round to move into a tie for 59th.

Florence Phan carded a 40-over score in her first tournament as a Sand Shark and Manon Tortelier turned in a 41-over overall score.

USCB heads north to McCormick, South Carolina on Monday to compete in the Savannah Lakes Fall Invitational hosted by Lander.
