BLUFFTON, SOUTH CAROLINA – The University of South Carolina Beaufort Men's Golf team is set to compete in the Fripp Island to Bermuda Invite, hosted by Golfweek, at Fripp Island Ocean Point Golf Course.
This tournament features some of the top teams in NCAA Division II men's golf. Notably, the medalist of the Fripp Island to Bermuda Invite will earn an exemption into a PGA Tour event in Bermuda later this season.
The event will take place October 20–21 and will be a 54-hole stroke play tournament. Competing teams include: Florida Southern College, Georgia Southwestern State, North Georgia, Valdosta State, Lenoir-Rhyne, Columbus State, Catawba College, Nova Southeastern, Lincoln Memorial, West Florida, Lee, Barry, St. Mary's, Rollins, and USC Beaufort.
This marks the fourth tournament of the season for the Sand Sharks, following their recent appearance at a Division I event hosted by Georgia Southern University. It will also be the final event of the fall 2025 schedule, with the spring season set to begin in late January.
USC Beaufort's lineup will consist of Octavio Laurent, Nikolai Holme, Dylan Allen, Christofer Hammar, and Jan Ciric. Ranked 12th nationally by the Golf Coaches Association of America, the Sand Sharks will face a strong field that includes 12 of the top 25 teams, including each of the top five, with the remaining teams receiving votes in the national rankings according to https://collegiategolf.com/coaches-poll/division-ii
