Kinlaw's stellar weekend earns PBC Pitcher of the Week honors

AUGUSTA -- Senior lefty Cierra Kinlaw has earned Peach Belt Softball Pitcher of the Week honors after helding lead USCB to a 3-1 record to the start of the season.

Kinlaw's dominance in the circle began Saturday where she picked up her first win of the year by tossing a complete three-hitter against Anderson. She allowed just two runs and struck out five without issuing a base on balls. She would then make her first relief appearance of the season in Sunday's opener against Glenville State where she picked her first career save while working 1.1 innings, allowing just one and punching out two.

The Claxton, Georgia native toed the rubber in game two against Converse and spun and absolute gem, throwing a complete game shutout while allowing only two hits and striking out three.

The Sand Sharks host Eckerd College this weekend with a doubleheader set for Saturday beginning at 12 p.m. and the series finale on Sunday at the same time.
