Alan is the son of Diane and Mike Tanner of Hardeeville.  He was born on April 5, 1989.  Alan is a 2007 graduate of Providence Christian HS in Savannah, GA.  He, along with Patrick Mastrianni, were the only two members of the first cross country team in USCB history in 2007.
