Bluffton, SC- The University of South Carolina Beaufort Lady Sand Sharks golf team has received an at-large bid to the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships, set for May 25-28 at Meadowbrook Municipal Golf Course in Rapid City, S.D.
The Lady Sand Sharks finished this year strong with three, top-three finishes; winning the SCAD Spring Invitational and placed second at The Sun Conference Championships. USCBs strong finish landed them in 6th place in the final NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll released last week.
The Sand Sharks will be joined by three other Sun Conference teams including, No. 1 ERAU, No. 11 Northwood and No. 12 SCAD.
This is very exciting for the Lady Sand Sharks, who missed the cut last year by one spot.
Adrianna Saavedra, Kaitlyn O'Sullivan, who were named to the all-conference team will be joined by
Brittany Cheek,
Sophie Henke, and Kelly Nakano as the five-man team to represent USCB.
Good Luck Sand Sharks!
