ST. AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA - The University of South Carolina Beaufort women's golf team opened play at the Peach Belt Conference Championships on Sunday at the World Golf Village King & Bear Golf Course. The Sand Sharks sit in fifth place after the first round, led by McLain Neal.
Flagler College and University of North Georgia are tied for the team lead after day one.
Neal paces USCB, sitting tied for 14th overall after carding a 78 (+6). She recorded two birdies and eight pars during her opening round.
London Eneas is tied for 16th overall after shooting a 79 (+7). Eneas finished the day with 10 pars and one birdie.
Anna Grace Brown is tied for 20th after posting an 80 (+8), highlighted by a team-high 12 pars, tied for the sixth-most in the field.
Camila Giordani is tied for 24th with an 82 (+10). She recorded 10 pars, matching Eneas.
Manon Tortelier is tied for 28th after carding an 88 (+16), finishing the round with five pars and one birdie.
The Sand Sharks return to the course for round two on Monday, April 20, with tee times beginning at 7:40 a.m.
