CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. – The University of South Carolina Beaufort men's golf team finished the final round where it started Sunday at the 41
st annual Marine Corps Federal Credit Union Intercollegiate, tying for third in the 32-team event at Paradise Point Golf Club.
The Sand Sharks, ranked fifth in the most recent NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll, posted a team score of 294 on the par-72 Gold Course in the final round to finish the 54-hole event at 1-under-par 855.
Sophomore
Brian Langley (67-72-73) led the Sand Sharks at 2-under-par, followed by senior
Mark Phillips (68-73-72) at 1-under. Senior
Luke McClellan (68-72-76) finished at 2-over, followed by junior
Travis Cashion (75-73-73) at 7-over and
Jack Bingham (68-77-77) at 8-over.
Langley and Phillips both finished in the top 10 individuals.
USCB has finished no worse than third in any of its events this spring. The Sand Sharks next travel to Daytona Beach, Fla., for the Embry-Riddle Bash at the Beach from April 14-15.
