DORAL, Fla. - To conclude the fall portion of the 2019-20 schedule, USCB men's golf will travel to Doral, Fla. to compete in the Dave Adamonis Sr. Invitational beginning on Oct. 28. 

Last Time Out - Appalachian Athletic Conference Fall Preview

Dawson Peters had the best overall finish for USCB at the AAC Fall Preview, as the transfer finished tied for 21st. The junior collected a 15-over 231 (75-75-81).

Senior Will Canipe had the best final day for USCB, as he jumped 18 spots on the individual leaderboard. Canipe finished tied for 32nd overall at 19-over 235 (81-79-75). Canipe's 3-over 75 third-round score was the best outing on the final day for USCB. 

Jacob Thomas and Marc Sweeney rounded out the top-40 finishes for the Sand Sharks. Thomas placed tied for 37th, and Sweeney finished tied for 40th. 

As a team, USCB finished in seventh out of 19 teams. The Sand Sharks inked a 70-over 934 (315-308-311) in the two-day tournament. 

About the Dave Adamonis Sr. Invitational

The Dave Adamonis Sr. Invitational is a two-day tournament and is hosted by Sun Conference member Johnson & Wales. The first day will begin on Monday, Oct. 28 and will be 36 holes in length. Monday's rounds will be played at the Red Tiger Course, and Tuesday's final round will be held at the Blue Monster course.

The Red Tiger Course is a par-72 and runs 6,517 yards in length. The Blue Monster course is also a par-72 and runs 7,034 yards in length. 

There are eight teams competing in the event, including seven TSC schools - Johnson & Wales, Southeastern, Coastal Georgia, Keiser, USCB, SCAD and Webber International. Point is the lone school competing in the outing that is not a member of the Sun Conference. 

The Sand Sharks will open the tournament at 8 a.m., and they will be paired with Keiser and Point.
