TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD
SAINT SIMONS, Ga. - Blanca Porta improved nine spots from the opening day of the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational, as the senior won the individual title on Tuesday after shooting an impressive 3-under 69 at the King and Prince Golf Course.
Day Two Highlights
Porta was the only individual on Tuesday to shoot below par, as the senior carded a 3-under 69. She finished atop of the leaderboard and bested the runner-up by three strokes - Sloan Lanier of Eastern Florida State. From Monday's to Tuesday's rounds, Porta made an eight-stroke improvement, as she finished the two-day tournament with a 2-over 146.
Deliah Prescha rounded out the top-25 finishes for the Sand Sharks, as she placed tied for 24th. The senior carded a 9-over 81 to conclude her performance at the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational.
Kayla Ramsey made a big improvement (13 spots), as she shot a 6-over 78 on Tuesday. The freshman also improved her score from Monday by eight strokes.
USCB finished the outing in seventh place, which was a one-spot improvement from Monday. The Sand Sharks finished with a 77-over 653 (333-320).
Eastern Florida State stayed atop of the team leaderboard, as the Titans finished the two-day tournament with a 36-over 612.
What's Next?
The men's and women's golf teams will take a brief break before the two clubs return to the links. The Sand Shark teams will host a dual match with SCAD on Friday, Feb. 14 at Oldfield Country Club.
