BLUFFTON, S.C. - USCB women's golf senior Deliah Prescha was named to the CoSIDA (College of Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-District team on Thursday, May 21, 2020.
Prescha was the lone Sand Shark representative on the women's at-large ballot. She was just one of 11 student-athletes named to the NAIA First Team District 1, which is comprised of 22 states. The Switzerland native was one of four golfers on the District 1 team and one of seven athletes that are Sun Conference members. She was also one of 11 NAIA golf student-athletes named to a CoSIDA All-District squad, and Prescha was also one of 15 NAIA student-athletes with a 4.00 grade-point average.
Prescha graduated from USCB with a degree in business administration and an unblemished GPA.
The Switzerland native was recently named to the 2020 Sun Conference All-Academic team, which is the third time in her career she has earned the postseason award. During her junior campaign, she earned All-Sun Conference honors, and she was also a member of the USCB women's golf team that finished third nationally in 2017.
During her senior campaign, she finished inside the top 10 twice, including a season-best, fifth-place finish at the Roadrunner Invitational. Currently ranked 74th in the nation, Prescha averaged 79.6 strokes per round this year and collected a season-low 1-over 73 at the Roadrunner Invitational.
Prescha joins Taylor Boykin, Kaitlyn O'Hearn and Maria Molloseau of USCB softball and Marc Sweeney of USCB men's golf as Sand Shark student-athletes that have been named CoSIDA Academic All-District this year.
