TAMPA, Fla. - The Sun Conference announced its Champion of Character award for men's golf, and USCB senior Will Canipe earned the prestigious award, as he exemplified the Five Core Values that go beyond the playing field - integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership.
The USCB letterman played in a Sand Shark uniform for four years. This year Canipe collected a 75.6 scoring average and shot 72-or-better four times this season. He collected a season-best 2-under 70 round in the final round of the Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational.

- Helped the community after major hurricanes by cleaning debris and fixing homes
- Interned at Coast Insurance Group, where learned life-long lessons and applied what learned at USCB
- Involved with the Dustin Johnson Golf School in Myrtle Beach, which helps grow junior golf in South Carolina. The organization also hosts the Dustin Johnson World Junior, which is an elite junior golf tournament that junior golfers around the world to compete in
- Worked for family business in an auto parts warehouse, which has instilled the importance of hard work, time management, academics and athletics
