VONORE, Tenn. – After the opening day of the TWU Fall Invitational, the USCB women's golf team leads the pack on Sept. 19 at the Links of Kahite.
After 18 holes on Saturday, the Sand Shark squad recorded a 38-over 326. USCB holds a two-stroke lead over host-team Tennessee Wesleyan, as the Bulldogs posted a 40-over 328. Rounding out the top three was Midway at 44-over 332.
Newcomer
Ashleigh Mead shot an impressive 4-over 76 in her first collegiate outing. The freshman from McDonough, Ga. Is in a two-way tie for third and is just two strokes back of the individual leader.
Teammate
Kayla Ramsey etched a 5-over 77, as she sits in a two-way tie for fifth with Emilie Hill from Midway.
Junior
Molly Minasi rounded out the top three scores for the Sand Sharks, as the Bluffton, S.C. native posted a 13-over 85.
Whitney Messer of Union sits atop of the individual leaderboard at 2-over 74. She holds just a one-stroke lead over Kelsey Cassada of Tennessee Wesleyan.
