YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - The USCB women's soccer team ended its two-game losing streak Saturday afternoon, as Kennedy Harris and Mari Kalvatn each scored a goal and the Sand Sharks defeated Young Harris, 2-1, in Peach Belt Conference play.

How it Happened
Both teams played a strong defensive first half, as neither side could find the back of the net. Kalvatn and Synne Bye-Andersen both took shots within the first 10 minutes but failed to convert the opportunities. Worrell made four saves during the first half and the USCB defense allowed only five shots.
It didn't take long for the Sand Sharks to break through in the second half, as Kalvatn found the back of the net in the 47th minute on a ball from Motley.
Just two minutes later, the Mountain Lion's Alexis Scarpinato tied the game up, sending a ball past Worrell.
Over the next 33 minutes the game remained tied, but in the 82nd minute Harris broke free and scored the game-winner. YHC outshot USCB, 12-11 ,but Worrell racked up eight saves in the victory.
