GREENWOOD, S.C. - To the begin the final regular-season tournament of 2022, the USCB women's golf team opened play on Monday at the Bearcat Invitational at the Greenwood Country Club.
Day One Highlights
Ashleigh Mead had the lowest score for the Sand Sharks on Monday, as she posted a 6-over 78. She is in a 15-way tie for 28th.
Just one stroke back of her teammate is Cassie Tasney. The freshman golfer etched a 7-over 79 to sit tied for 43rd.
Kate Dickerson penciled a 10-over 82 scored, while Molly Minasi rounded out the qualifying scores for USCB at 12-over 84.
Alejandra Rodriguez also competed on Monday, and she shot a 14-over 86.
As a team, USCB is right in the middle of the pack in 13th place out of 22 teams. The Sand Sharks posted a 25-over 323, which is just seven strokes from moving into the top 10.
Columbus State leads the team leaderboard at 15-over 303, while Lincoln Memorial is second at 17-over 305.
Megan Robb of Lenoir-Rhyne is in first at even-par 72. Tied for second is Patricia Asensio of Lenoir-Rhyne and Sofie Lorentzen of Tusculum at 2-over 74.
What's Next?
The final round of the Bearcat Invitational is set to begin on Tuesday morning. The outing will resume at the Greenwood Country Club.
