WAVERLY, Ga.- After a solid day one at the Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational, the USCB men's golf team backed that up by shooting a 3-under 285 team score on Tuesday to finish in fourth place. Jacob Thomas and Christofer Hammar also solidified themselves in the top-10, as they both tied for eighth at 6-under 210.

Day Two Highlights

Thomas had the lowest round of the day for USCB, as the senior went 2-under 70. Headlining his day was shooting an eagle on the par-5, 540-yard hole 12. He also penciled four birdies, as he went 1-under 35 on both the front and back nine holes.

Fabian Fallenius was the other Sand Shark to shoot sub-par on Tuesday, as the sophomore posted a 1-under 71 performance. Overall, he tied for 19th at 1-under 215.

Hammar and Sam Olsson Kjellin shot identical even-par 72 rounds on the final day. Hammar had the better three-round score though, as he matched Thomas with a 6-under 210 score. Hammar collected three birdies on Tuesday, while Osslon Kjellin had a level day with two birdies and 14 pars.

Connor Thomas rounded out the scores for USCB, as he finished the two-day outing at 13-over 229 to place tied for 65th

As a team, USCB stayed level in all three rounds going 286-281-285. The Sand Sharks slotted in fourth place at 12-under 852. Southeastern held on to the top spot, as the Fire went 18-under 846. Truett-McConnell and Dalton State finished behind SEU in second and third place, respectively.

Books Gineris of Reinhardt won the individual title at a stellar 11-under 205 score. There was a three-way tie for second at 9-under 207.

What's Next?

The Sand Sharks will take two weeks off before heading to the infamous Copperhead Course at the Innisbrook Invite. The outing will be held from Sept. 26-27 in Tampa, Fla.
