BLUFFTON, S.C. - Synne Bye-Andersen scored her team-leading sixth goal and held a 1-0 lead going into half time, but Georgia College & State University put the pressure on to start the second half, scoring two goals to end USCB's five-game win streak and defeating the Sand Sharks for the first time this season, 2-1, Wednesday afternoon at Fin Land Field.

How it Happened
Both squads played strong defense to open play, as the Bobcats kept up the pressure by taking multiple shots on USCB's defense. However, in the 25th minute USCB was able to find a hole, as Harris found Bye-Andersen inside of the box. Bye-Andersen continued her hot streak, netting her sixth goal of the season.
The Bobcats ended USCB's scoreless streak in the 46th minute when Morgan Amrozowicz found the back of the net from 25 yards out. Georgia College added another goal just 10 minutes later, as Sarah Mason sent a cross over the USCB defense and found Ava Martin for the one-timer, putting the Sand Sharks behind for the first time in 2022.
USCB's defensive scoreless streak ended at 496 minutes.
