ROME, Ga. - Synne Bye-Andersen netted a hat-trick and two others scored goals, as USCB women's soccer defeated Shorter, 5-0, on Tuesday afternoon. With the victory, the Sand Sharks have matched the best start in program history from 2019 (4-0).

How It Happened
USCB wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, as Harris notched her first collegiate goal and put the Sand Sharks up 1-0 just 48 seconds into play, sending the ball just over the Shorter goalkeeper.
Bye-Andersen made it 2-0 in the 10th minute after receiving a ball from Kalvatn.
The Trondheim, Norway native continued her stellar day, as she scored for the second time just seven minutes later, putting it in the upper-left corner of the net.
Shorter kept USCB's offense at bay for the first 15 minutes of the second half, but Bye-Andersen capped a spectacular afternoon after collecting her third goal of the game in the 60th minute.
The Sand Shark's would add one more, as Downey scored her first goal of the season in the 70th minute to make it 5-0.
Worrell extended her scoreless streak to 344 minutes with one save, as USCB's defense only allowed four shots, three on goal.
The Sand Sharks took a season-high 20 shots against the Hawks.
