ALBANY — Sophomores Jan Ciric and Aaron Williams continued their strong seasons, both finishing with a 6-over (222) tied for 23rd out of the field of 81 and USCB carded a team score of +36 (900) to finish 11th at the Hurricane Invitational at the Doublegate Country Club in Albany this week. 

Ciric opened Monday's first round carding a 4-over (76) picking up three birdies on holes 6, 10 and 13. He put together an even better second round, shooting a 2-under (70). After starting his round with three consecutive bogies, he made the turn and recorded birdies on number two and four. He traded birdies on bogies to finish the front nine before completing his round shooting under par on three of the next four holes. The Ljubljana, Slovenia native matched his first round score shooting 4-over to finish 6-over. 

Williams put together a solid 3-over round to start his tournament. He was 5-over after 12 holes but after making the turn he shot 2-under to finish with a 75. Round two started off strong with pars on 16 and 17, he'd move to 2-over through five before working his way back to even at hole seven. A double-bogey on number eight put him back to +2 while shooting 3-under through his final six holes. The Owings native matched his first round 75 in his final 18 to finished tied for 23rd at 6-over. 

Nikolai Holme finished 6-over in his first round and improved his second round by three strokes and finished Tuesday's final round shooting 72. Jonas Demant shot a combined 154 through Monday's rounds and then concluded Tuesday's round with a 6-over (78). Ellis Bright battled through a rough 5-over first round, highlighted by an eagle on the 13th par-5. The freshman from Trowbridge, England then shot 9-over in the second round before concluding his tournament with a 7-over 79. 

The Sand Sharks conclude its fall schedule at the McCoy Wright Currahee Collegiate in Toccoa, Georgia on Monday and Tuesday.
