INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD
GREENWOOD, S.C. - With a tournament that featured 14 of the top-100 ranked NCAA DII individuals, junior USCB women's golfer Ashleigh Mead moved up the leaderboard to win her second career tournament on Tuesday at the Lady Bearcat Invitational at the Greenwood Country Club.
Day Two Highlights
After her stellar opening day on Monday, Mead continued her excellent play with an even-par 72 showing in the final round. With that performance, she edged the field by one stroke to earn her second career victory - her first was at last year's Monument Golf Oldfield Intercollegiate. Mead posted 39 total pars to go along with eight birdies in the 54-hole tournament. She was even-par in both par-3 and par-4 scoring. She even went under-par on all par fives as well. She edged three golfers - all of which in the top-100, two in the top-50 and one in the top-5 - by one stroke.
Cassie Tasney had the second-best performance for USCB at 19-over 235. She slotted in a tie for 46th after finishing her final day with an 8-over 80 score.
Jessica Edwards moved up two spots on the individual leaderboard. She shot a 7-over 79 score on Tuesday to finish 28-over 244.
Jessica Hoeft and Alejandra Rodriguez also competed. Hoeft went 32-over par, while Rodriguez carded a 46-over par score.
The Sand Shark finished in a tie for 11th with No. 50 Lenoir Rhyne. With 20 teams in the field, USCB shot a 78-over 942.
No. 5 Anderson continued its success, as it won the outing at 9-over 873. No. 12 Lee earned runner-up honors at 25-over 889.

The Sand Sharks will conclude their regular season on April 11 with a dual match with Savannah State at Crosswinds Golf Club.
