KANSAS CITY — The NAIA has announced the 2022-23 NAIA Men's and Women's Golf All-American teams. USCB's Ashleigh Mead and Jacob Thomas were selected to the 2nd Team, voted on by the NAIA Men's and Women's Golf Coaches' Association All-America Committee.

Mead finished tied for 36th at Nationals back in May, shooting a 316 overall. Her best round of the tournament came on the first day after she posted a +6 77 at TPC Deere Run. Her season was highlighted by claiming the individual CAC Conference Championship by shooting -6 for the tournament. 

"Ashleigh had one of the better spring semesters in NAIA golf. She was committed to her process the whole year and was able to reap the rewards in the spring," Coach Cory Cottrell said. "A fantastic individual win against some of the top NCAA DII talent in the nation and then a run away win in the CAC conference championship put a cap on a great year." 

Thomas concluded his senior season posting a +7 overall score, good for a tie for 31st, at the NAIA National Tournament in Mesa. He was named to the NAIA PING All-Region South Team in May and was consistently in the starting lineup during his career. During the CAC Conference Tournament he finished third after shooting -1 in the final round in San Antonio. 

"Jacob being a five-time All-American is one of the great accomplishments in USCB golf history," said Cottrell. "It is a fantastic recognition of his continued work he put in over his USCB career."
