Sand Sharks fall to ninth in final round of Savannah Lakes Invite

MCCORMICK -- McLain Neal finished tied for 21st, finishing 9-over for the tournament to lead USCB's quince, but the Sand Sharks fell to ninth in the final round of the Savannah Lakes Invitational Tuesday at the Monticello Golf Club.

After carding a 2-over round in yesterday's round Neal finished today shooting 76. Senior Ashleigh Mead finished 32nd overall and posted a third round score of 80.

"McLain had a very nice tournament," said coach Cory Cottrell. " We saw some things to build on as a whole. We're looking forward to getting right back at it next week in North Carolina for Catawba's event."

Jessica Edwards, Jennifer Larsson, and Katharina Tieves all finished their third rounds with an 8-over score.

USCB returns to the links next week at the Patty Rendleman Invitational in Salisbury, N.C.
