Bright propels Sand Sharks surge at PBC Championships

AUGUSTA -- Ellis Bright finished with a 4-under 68 in the final round and finished 5-under for the championship as the Sand Sharks surged up the leaderboard on the final day to finish tied for third at the Peach Belt Conference Championships on Sunday at the Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta.

After shooting 72 on Friday the Trowbridge native shot 1-under yesterday and followed that up with his 4-under final round this afternoon - the lowest score of the day - to finish tied for fourth. Nikolai Holme put together a terrific outing as well in his first conference championships appearance finishing with a 221 5-over tournament. Sophomore Eric Nord posted a top-10 finish carding a 1-under 215 score.

The Sand Sharks season concludes as it cannot participate in the NCAA National Tournament due to its provisional status.
