Hurricane Helene alters athletics schedule

BLUFFTON -- Following the aftermath of Hurricane Helene this weekend the week ahead schedule has been changed for multiple USCB Athletic teams.

Men's and Women's Cross Country: This weekends cross country event, the Akiah McMillan Invitational, has been canceled due to the race course conditions at the Farm at Newberry. Head Coach Terica Harris will look to add another race to the schedule prior to the end of the season.

Men's Golf: The upcoming Bearcat Fall Classic hosted by Lander University has been canceled due to course conditions. Head Coach Cory Cottrell has not announced whether another tournament will be added to the men's schedule.

Women's Soccer: The Sand Sharks were originally scheduled to host North Georgia on Saturday but the game was postponed on Thursday. USCB and North Georgia will now meet on Tuesday with a time still to be determined. The previously scheduled game against South Carolina State will be moved to a later date.
