BLUFFTON, SOUTH CAROLINA — On Wednesday, the conference released the 2025–26 preseason poll, along with the Preseason All-Conference Team. The Sand Sharks were selected second overall in the preseason poll standings.
North Georgia was voted first with 99 points after receiving nine first-place votes. The Sand Sharks followed in second with 85 points, just ahead of USC Aiken, which earned two first-place votes and totaled 83 points to round out the top three.
Augusta placed fourth with 68 points, while a tie for fifth between Columbus State and Lander completed the top five of the poll with 61 points each.
Flagler finished seventh with 51 points, ahead of Georgia Southwestern in eighth at 32 points. Georgia College & State University (GCSU) was voted ninth, and Clayton State rounded out the top 10. Middle Georgia finished 11th closing out the poll.
USCB had two players named to the Preseason All-Conference Team: Dominic Eason and Kevaughn Price. They were joined by Evan Joyner (Augusta), Colin Turner (North Georgia), and AJ White (North Georgia).
The Men's Basketball season tips off the weekend of November 14–15 on the road before the first home game on November 19th against Florida Tech at 7:30 PM.
