BLUFFTON, SOUTH CAROLINA – The Peach Belt Conference released the 2025–26 Preseason Coaches Poll on Wednesday, as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Sand Sharks were selected eighth in the poll, earning 38 total points. North Georgia was picked to finish first with 99 points and nine first-place votes. Columbus State and Augusta each received one first-place vote to round out the top three.
Flagler was fourth in the poll at 69 points, followed by Lander in fifth, Georgia Southwestern sixth, and Clayton State in seventh. USCB ranked eighth ahead of Georgia College & State University (GCSU) and USCA. Middle Georgia rounded out the 11-team field with 13 points.
Along with the poll, the conference also announced the Preseason All-Conference Team, which includes Caroline Martin (North Georgia), Letiya Reeves (Columbus State), Quinasia Abercrombie (Augusta), Quadaija Langley (Lander), and Averie Jones (North Georgia).
The women's basketball season tips off the weekend of November 14–15 with home games against Ferrum College and UVA Wise, marking the start of four of the first five games at home.
