Sand Sharks in 8th after two rounds at Battle at Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD — After a tough first round to begin play at the Battle of Hilton Head, USCB women's golf improved by 15 strokes in the second round led by McLain Neal's 4-over second round and the Sand Sharks sat in eighth place after 36 holes at Palmetto Dunes.

Neal picked up two birdies in the second round while also having two in the first round. She finished 10-over after 18 holes of play. Camila Giordani led USCB in the first round shooting a 7-over 79 and finished up round two with a 77. Both Giordani and Neal enter Tuesday's final round in the top 30.

Florence Phan posted scores of 83 and 79, while Jessica Edwards and Manon Tortelier finished in 45^th and 56^th place respectfully.

Round three continues tomorrow morning teeing off at 8:30 a.m. on Hilton Head.
