COMMERCE, GEORGIA – The University of South Carolina Beaufort Women's Golf team opened its 2025–26 season on a strong note Monday, finishing day one of the Golden Mane Classic in second place with a team total of 613 (305–308) at Double Oaks Golf Club. The Sand Sharks are one of eight teams competing in this classic hosted by Emmanuel College.

The Sand Sharks led the field after a strong opening round with a total of 305, before posting a 308 in the second round of the classic. Emmanuel leads the board after day one following a 296 in round two for a total of 605 on the day.

McLain Neal paced USCB, carding back-to-back rounds of 75 to sit third overall at +8 for a total of 150. Neal led the field with 27 pars and added one birdie on the day.

Camila Giordani followed closely, finishing fourth overall at +9 after carding a round one of 77, round two of 74 for a 151. She tallied two birdies and 23 pars, which is good for third most in the field.

Tatiana Ruesta and London Eneas are tied for 13th at +14. Ruesta posted consistent rounds of 78 and totaled 19 pars and two birdies. Eneas made a mark with five birdies ranking among the top three in that category alongside 15 pars.

Anna Grace Brown rounded out the team lineup, finishing day one tied for 39th after posting a 171. She recorded 11 pars and three birdies.

Two Sand Sharks competed individually in the field, Manon Tortelier sits 10th on the individual leader board at +12 (154), with two birdies and 21 pars. Isobelle Codling finished the day tied for 28th at +23, collecting 19 pars over two rounds.

USC Beaufort wraps up play at the Golden Mane Classic on Tuesday, September 9th, in what marks the team's debut tournament of the 2025–26 season.
